Slaves for Sale ((The King and Lord Duncan)) « Thread Started on Jul 10, 2007, 10:33pm »
Slaves were slowly being lined up for sale. All the slaves were being good so they wouldn't get hurt by the slavers standing by. All but one that is, Emily was yet again trying to get away. She got out of line and was running but one of the slavers quickly grabbed her by her long black hair and throw her against a wall. "You be good today the king is coming to buy a slave," he said threating her. She just glared at him with her deep crystal blue eyes. He slowly shuved her back in line and stood behind her to make sure she didn't go anywhere. Emily's eyes dropped to the ground so no one could see how beautiful they were. She also looked at the ugly brown rags she had been wearing since she had gotten there. Emily was a very cute girl but her hair looked horrible and there was a light colored scar running down one of her eyes. She was thinking of a plan to get away from these people and head somewhere safe but where would that be.

[[perhaps he could also be accompanied by one of his council members Duncan?]]
Sitting tall upon a milk-white steed, enchanced with gold and red clothed bridal and matching blanket covering the horses' normally bare back. Sitting atop that was his grace, King Myron. It'd been awhile since he'd been out t the outskirts of his town, aswell on horse. He'd missed it, being able to control the creature's movement. Holdin a fair grip on the reins, he was accompanied by a few of his loyal council members aswell on horseback, though it didn't make him any happier.
The Castle was in need of some more serfs, hopefully ones that were more respectant then the last...whom currently were in listing time in the gallows...poor souls for what the wrought...trying to assult the King, then accused him of such crimes he might just have commited.
Adjusting his velvet red noble top, covered by a black traveling frock, excess lain on the back of his alabaster equine. They were quite near now, squinting black eyebrows came to focus in, as ocean blue optics eyed the slaves, most shackled, in tattered clothing and all in aline, as they should be.
King Myron felt he was privliging any slaves he took home today, afterall a place to sleep, a step up in clothes, as who wanted to see those ugly smocks in the well made castle of his. He silently looked to his right, for once actually wanting an opinon from his council, though he hadn't yet asked.
From atop his high horse he looked down upon the rows of lesser then what seemed human, slaves, as his snow-white stallion's hooves stepped slowly in line. Grieved hands pulled back harshly on the reins, bringing the steed to a hault. The King looking down, azure pools staring at a young african american girl, bare foot and what looked like she was dressed in no more then an oversized stained tunic with a frayed hemline. He spat off towards his left. "How much for the black one?" He knew not to buy the first one that interested him, so asking now for one that he wouldn't even want in his castle seemed reasonable to him, even if cost wasn't the issue.

[oh ok]
"50 gold pieces your highness," the slaver said looking at the prizes they had down for the slaves. He kept his eyes to the prizes or to the slaves that his highness would like. He marked down that he had asked about this one. Emily stayed where she was but didn't like what was going to happen if she tried to rung again. She wanted to but it wasn't going to happen not with the slaver behind her.

Duncan sat upon his chestnut horse he had borrowed from the stables. He slowly followed behind the King and critiqued each slave. Once the King asked about the black one, he quickly whispered, Surely you are not going to buy that one, my King." Hopefully no one heard him, but it didn't matter either way. Duncan's forest green eyes drifted back to the slave once more and then back to the King. Duncan's black hair was a mess as usual. He moved around slightly on top of his horse, to get more comfortable. He was wearing, tan pans that are tucked into his black boots, that end mid- shin. He has one a white-long sleeved plain shirt. He wasn't really dressing the part of the king's council, but oh well. King Myron would get over it.

[[Been really busy >.<]]
Head turned in the direction of whispers. Behind him, dark blue orbs rested on Duncan, following neatly behind. Holding an almost disgusted expression, large hooked nose shook with his head.
"Don't be so daft. I wouldn't bring something like that into the castle."
He growled in the same tideious low tune, graveled voice adding to the harshness. Cold azure eyes turned back towards the dealer, a frown now hanging from what seemed almsot lifeless lips. This wasn't a job he particually enjoyed upholding. Though the last sefs purchased not by him were perfusely disliked, and they're life was ended shortly.
He continued to hold his head high, nose high in the air as he held the cloth reins out a foot from his body. He gave the horse a small kick, and they began a slow steady walk down the line of slaves. Myron stared at each one, his face twisting in knots whith dislike, judging each one with a glare, he wasn't even sure what it was he was looking for, though as for so far he wasn't finding it, they were all disgusting, tasteless and bare. Showing no will for life, pittying themselves, not even appreciating that they atleast had life. It was Ridiculous, they should all have been pleading for the king to take them from this hellish place.

Emily looked around quickly noticing the slavers not looking at her. She started to move and then run out of the line of slaves. She hadn't noticed the king coming her away but before she could even go past him she was grabbed by the hair and pulled back against the slaver's chest.
"I'm sorry your highness," He said holding Emily still. "She doesn't seem to know how to act around royalty," he said glaring at Emily.
She didn't seem to notice for she kept her blue eyes on the king. She wasn't going to beg for her life and thats what she thought made her strong. Even after what happened with her father she knew if she was going to die she might as well try to do it while being free. She started to wiggle out of the slaver's arms but he just tightened his grip and started to walk back to her space.

As they passed through the lines, Duncan's eyes looked at all the slaves in disgust. "None of these are worth taking. Just grab one and-" Duncan stopped short as a girl ran out of line and was caught by her hair. Duncan knew the king too well to know that girls of such beauty, well maybe if she cleaned up, were slaves, he'd possibly take them in a heartbeat. "My king, look at that one. Is she one you would rather keep." Duncan suggested, pointing to the girl with long black hair.

Azure eyes darted out quickly as the slaver girl stepped out of the long lasting line of beings for sale. Her boldness stuck out just as much as her unwashed, uncared and unstudied features, she was apparently making a desperate attempt to escape, though his mind knew that there could be risked escapes from the castle life too...though she wouldn't be as easily let go there...
Dark thick eyebrows raised as they yet shadowed the marbled ocean orbs Myron so notabley had. They happened to make his face seem just as bland as a commoner, though the gold-plated ring centering along his thining scalp, enriched with rubies added to the majestic vibes. Craning a neck to gaze back to Duncan, positioned well atop his steed still, he stood in silence for a moment or two in thought.
"Ah, she might have some potential...though perhaps some discipline if she can't follow order..I supose she'll be as good as any."
Voice seeminly almost less depressed then when they'd arrived, he payed little attention to ears listening as he openly critized. He'd given up trying to find a incredibley decent servant, it was slim-picking lately, only every once in a great while would one appear that would serve you in pleasants.
"We'll take her,"
He mentioned more audible, nose nodding in the direction of the young female serf under the keeper's grip. Hands frumbled to untie a red leather pouch, filled with gold and silver coins for the curencey around 87 pieces jingled about. He lightly grasped and tugged, yanking it loose.
"I'll pay 70 gold pieces for her, no more."
He said firmly, deciding she couldn't be worth more then that, and he was in no mood to haggle, even if they had found a new addition to the castle, she'd not proven her worth yet.
Gazing back towards his horsemen, he nodded toward the girl.
"Duncan, I want her hands bound, aswell waist tied with the rope lead, she'll be walking."
He always tended to put the most responsibilty to the most trusted, currently it resided with Lord Duncan.

Emily was rather suprised when the slaver handed her over at such a low price. Well she couldn't really blame them, she had been a hand full atleast she was away from them now. The slaver guided her over to Lord Duncan to make sure she didn't try to run off and believe her she wasn't going to.
She had heard a few things about this king by never really knew if they were true or not. Emily watched Myron carefully.

Finally they could leave this retched hole of whatever it was. He sighed with relief when the king agreed with him. He nodded to the slave holder. "You heard King Myron. Hands bound. Waist tied with the rope lead. Please." he stated. Duncan waited for the slave holder to nod or something.

The slaver did as he was told and tied Emily but he did it tightly. He whispered something in her ear that only see would hear. "You'll be back here soon enough," He said and then looked at the lord. "There you are sir," He said.
Emily was going to prove him wrong for that. She was not going to return to the slavers and get hurt by them anymore but she couldn't be for sure about that. The king may not like her and may send her back or just kill her but it really didn't matter.
